Brothers and sisters,

I apologize for the delay, but the February meeting is finally here and quickly approaching. The meeting will be held on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at the union hall. The meeting location was decided based on needing some additional tech resources to complete our agenda for the month, and we will resume our social gathering style meetings in March. The agenda for the February meeting will be as follows:

• Contract preparation
  • Open discussion about our current contract. Understanding what we have currently and using that information to further discuss what would be beneficial to fight for in future contracts. I will provide digital copy on the smart board and some hard copies for writing on.
  • Fine tuning of Ideas for presentation at the general meeting on February 28, 2024. Anyone with ideas can talk through their thoughts in front of an audience before approaching the general body, which can be an intimidating environment.
• Securing our official Charter from 3^rd district
  • I was approached by 3DYC (third district youth caucus) co-chair Vic Dougherty about receiving our official charter from the 3^rd district office after the 3DYC monthly zoom call. Among the requirements are a set of active by-laws, and it would be appropriate to discuss the by-laws as a group before submitting them for approval. I will supply a written set of by-laws I came up with, and we will open the floor to comments and suggestions to make sure everyone feels they are fair. One of the main things needing discussed is a standing meeting time every month, I would like input on this especially so that as many people can make the meetings as possible.
